So my new Sager arrived today and my first order of business was to install an mSATA SSD. I wasn't able to find the service manual for this particular model, but was told to refer to the service manual for the Clevo W350ST as the layout is supposed to be identical to the newer W350SS. The process seemed simple enough. Open the back, push the speaker grill out at a specific point (just to the right of the copper heatsinks by the fan), flip over the laptop and remove the speaker grill, then...

Since ive already been asked multiple times by various forum members, I thought I might as well just make a thread for this :)

Background-story: As many of you know, the AMD 7970M doesnt run out of the box in Clevo HM series laptops, since the GPU has an in-built IGP check in its vBIOS. Consequently, the screen stays black with the stock vBIOS, since the Sandy Bridge IGP units are disabled in HM laptops. As a work-around, its possible to blind-flash a modded vBIOS onto the card,...

Will the 970m sli work on a P370sm

I have the clevo P370sm with 780m sli. I wanted to upgraded the graphics cards to 970m sli.

Will it work, just plug and play or do I need some special bios or something.

And how much faster are the 970m sli vs 780m sli in performance. I will sell both 780m's and upgrade for about $150 to the 970m's. I would like to know if its worth the upgrade to people.

Hey guys, I just received by Clevo P-377sm-a from RJ-Tech. I installed two 7970m's in the machine that were originally from the Alienware in my sig. Both cards are Clevo cards running Clevo vbios's. Everything works amazingly except for one issue.

I have a 1080p external monitor that I'm trying to connect to the laptop via HDMI. The external monitor is detected and displays the bios splash screen on boot and shows the windows start up logo as well. However, once the computer fully...

Sup guys, here is my story

Looking for a vbios for my crossfire 8970m with unlocked voltage to up my GPU clocks (they are working with +-32ºC iddle and +-70ºC load), then i tried bauto's rom.

After flashing the secondary card and boot the notebook worked fine, after i flashed de primary GPU and booted the notebook stoppped working.

Doesn't boot anymore has only the black screen and the fans...

Synaptics causes BSOD on P650SE

I bought my P650SE last year and have been playing BF4 for a while. Everything works fine except for one thing. For 4 months, 4 BSODs happened during playing BF4 and windows debug tool claims that it is the SynTp.sys that causes the problem. As far as I know it's the driver for the touch pad. So I updated the driver after the second BSOD, but guess what, it does not solve the problem at all. Has anyone encountered this problem? Windows 10 on Clevo machines

Anyone else tried it?

I made a VHD and installed it to the VHD and it dual boots with my 8.1 install just fine. Didn't need a lot of drivers, just Hotkey, nVidia, and touch pad.

The only issue with it is that as usual, synaptic touch pad drivers suck and don't scroll how they are supposed to. Other than that, it's a pretty solid OS so far on my 9377.

Hello,

Recently I bought an Eurocom X8 and I am having trouble getting the brightness control to work. My laptop has 2 970m GPUs in SLI, and a 120Hz screen LP173WF2 which uses eDP. I couldn't get it to work in Windows 8.1 until I flashed a Prema BIOS and Prema VBIOS on the GPUs, then tried like 7 or 8 different NVIDIA drivers until it worked. However, I recently updated to Windows 10 and the brightness control has stopped working. I would really like to get it working again but in Windows...

Hi all,

I am almost ready to buy the np9773s, but I am wondering about temps. I am going to use the laptop almost exclusively for gaming, Dying Light, Shadows of Mordor, and newer games releasing this year, Fallout 4 and others.

I've been going over some builds on XOTICPC and have two concerns.

1. Is there a difference in temps between the i7-4790 and the i74790K?

2. Is there a noticeable real-life speed difference between the Samsung M.2 SATA SSD and the PCIe version? In HTWingnut's...

Hey guys

some of you may remember me from a couple of weeks ago when I reported that my 7970m was dead.

Well today I got it reballed and lo and behold, it is working now. From the few games I tested, performance seems to be as good as ever.

However, I noticed max temps had reached 102C. That has me troubled now. Could this be a side-efffect of the reballing process or is this just down to the heatsink/fan?
I notice that the heatsink right next to the fan isn't seated properly. Is it ok if...

Well, i think the title says everything but i will write few more, i am from Egypt and i am coming to Egypt the end of this week, and i want to buy a good gaming laptop, and this model tops all of the other brands on specs.

I found it on Sager original website, Xoticpc, Pro-star and also hidevolution.
But since i am not from US, i have no deals with any of these re sellers what so ever, never tried online stores before, always like to see what i am buying and i did NOT knew Sager brand...

I'm happy to find a tinkerers brand laptop manufacturer where you can easily modify the system and swap components and of course not pay the Windows tax. I had a few questions about the above model as it seems about what I'm looking for.
