Accessing the mother board in Sager NP7155

I recently purchased a Sager NP7155 from Xoticpc and already had an M.2 SSD to install in it. When I got the laptop the bottom panel was all one solid piece and even after removing all the screws it won't come loose. I have never disassembled a laptop before and this is my first Sager so I was just wondering if anybody knew how to get it loose so I can install my SSD. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

So recently I ordered an NP8651 from XoticPC with no preinstalled OS and received it a few days ago. However, when I try to boot the system with a bootable Win7 USB in the slot the function keys seem to stop working in the BIOS: pressing F7 or F2 does nothing while the drive is plugged in. If I remove the drive, however, the keypresses seem to register: for example, I can press F7, wait a while, pull out the USB, and then the BIOS gives me options to choose the boot device. Sager NP2740 keeps shutting down after a few minutes

Since Firday night, my Sager NP2740 has been shutting down (completely powers itself off) after a few minutes in Windows. I have run HWMonitor (Screenshot attached) and have watched it until right before the computer shuts off and the only thing I see is Core 3 running at its max, 1297 MHZ. I use the laptop for work so it does get heavy use (10+ hours a day), but it is always plugged in to the AC Adapter. I also thought it might be something with the power adapter, but the machine still...

P180HM no longer seeing the second GPU

Hi,

My P180HM (BTO 18CL36) currently cannot find the second GPU (2 x GTX 560M).
I can plug both cards into the first slot and it works, so it doesn't seem to be the cards themselves.

Anything I can do to troubleshoot this?

NP5165 Screen Replacement Help

I broke the original screen from my Sager NP5165. Looking to replace it with a 95% gamut screen I found an original AUO B156HW01 v.4; however, when I got everything apart my 40 pin connector is on the wrong side.

My original screen is a LG LP156WF1 (TL) (E1) with the connector being on the right side (facing the back of the screen). The AUO is on the left.

Is there any way to get the AUO to work? If not do you guys know if a 95% gamut screen was made with this configuration that will...

Hello, I've been dreaming of purchasing a Sager for years. For my last 2 laptops I settled on Lenovo.

I've never paid more than 1K for a laptop so I don't have a good feel for prices in this range.

I've got a buddy who wants to sell me his 8652, comes with 16 GB ram, 2 M.2 HDs (128 GB & 500 GB) & no OS. I think he paid a shade over 2K from Xotic for it. He's asking $1,700. He's owned it since January.

In your opinion, is that a good/fair/bad deal?

Clevo P370EM Compatible Charger

Hello,

I searched the forum but didn't find anything on this topic. Does anyone know of a charger for my Clevo model that is sold on Amazon or Newegg that isn't as monstrously big as the one I currently have? I bought mine from Origin as an EON17-SLX back in 2013, if that helps anything.

I got my Sager NP 9752 laptop about 2 months ago, same laptop nicknamed "Batman" they praise constantly over in the lounge section, and right off the bat noticed some pretty hot temps on my 4790k in the upper 80s. Thermal Pads for a Clevo d900f?

Hello guys,

I am planning to purchase new Thermal Pads for my Clevo d900f to replace the Thermal Pads on the big CPU heat sink and GPU heat sink but I have no clue what kind of Thermal Pads will do and what thickness I should use for this laptop.

The big CPU heat sink has a few Thermal Pads cut in the right size for covering up chips on the main motherboard, etc and the GPU heat sink has a few of them cut in the right size for covering the up the ram chips, etc.

P150EM freaking out at AMD drivers

Hi all,

So I recently bought a second hand P150EM for cheap because the guy had GPU trouble.

It's a 7970m and whenever I install the latest AMD drivers I immediately get a BSOD accompanied by a horrible sound and the fan starts spinning like crazy. I had to restart in safe mode and use DDU to clean out all the AMD drivers. Currently I have her running on Intel HD 4000 graphics with no problems. Physically the 7970m seems fine so I'm sure it's some sort of driver issue.

Hi,

I have the Clevo P650SG laptop that I bought in February. This has happened about 4 time in all now, but while doing regular work, it has randomly shut down for no reason.

The first few times, I was just doing work on spreadsheets, and this last time I had been gaming for about an hour, then quit that and moved to spreadsheet work. After about 10 mins, it just shut down on its own.

I'm not sure if this is a heat issue (While gaming my GPU went to 75 degree Celsius and CPU cores were...

Got a Clevo P150EM that is giving me nightmares.
Windows boots to a black screen. After a few of those failed boots, Windows boots in "Automatic Repair" and lets me boot in safe mode which works fine for ~10mins before the laptop freezes and gives black screen (with a really weird sound).
