I've owned this NP8258 model with Windows 7 for at least three years now. It's now undergoing the aging process of slowdown with only passable processing for most high quality applications, despite using a cleanup and deleting/transferring files I don't use anymore. Hi there,

I have a rebranded Clevo P650SE/Sager NP8651 that started having intermittent LED screen issues (flickering, lines, power on/off, those kind of things) -- all common signs of a dying LED screen. However, before I got the chance to purchase a new screen and replace it, the laptop stopped working altogether. The screen went dead, and the laptop shut itself off mid-use.

Now, the laptop will not power on at all. I removed the faulty screen to see if that was causing the issue - it...

Clevo P650SE unable to output to 120hz monitor

Hi, i am unable to output my P650SE laptop with gtx 970m to an external Samsung 1080p 120hz monitor.
Using one of the mini displayport on the laptop the max hz i am allowed to select is 100hz.
Btw i am using a cable that is a mini displayport one end (laptop) and regular displayport the other end (120hz monitor).

Unfortunately, the CLEVO servers suck big time, you'd be lucky if you were able to complete a download and even if you did, you may or may not be able to successfully extract the zip file.

Sager NP8651 SSD for m.2 SATA

I purchased an SSD. But I accidentally did a mSATA and it is not the right size (luckily a co-worker might buy it from me or I turn it into an external drive... Any cheap enclosures?).

I am looking for 64GB under $40.

After some extensive googling I found information about the new Clevo midrange series. So I thought I spoil the announcement party... :rolleyes: It looks like the previous midrange models (N150 and N170) will be replaced by totally new models, namely the N850HK1 (15") and the N870HK1 (17").

The N850HK1 (found here) looks identical to the recently announced Gigabyte Sabre 15:...

Sager 9170- I think my 7970m died!

This laptop is about to turn 5. Today I was playing far cry primal and the screen went black. CTRL ALT Delete didn't do anything.

Did hard reset and the screen went black as soon as windows was about to boot.

Rebooted into safe mode and disabled the 7970m so it was only running on the intel graphics. This let me load windows.

Tried 2 system restore points from today and last month.

Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, sweeping and reinstalling drivers but every time...

Sager 9170- I think my 7970m died!

HI.

I own a good loved five year P170HM from Eurocom, and I'm planning to buy a new Clevo.

What I want:
7th gen. Intel CPU
17" 120hz FullHD screen
Nvidia 1070
Aluminium exterior finish (I hate rubberized stuff)
Those screens with good color quality. When I bought mine it was called 90% NTSC color gamut. Don't know nowadays.
I have no plans to overclock anything.

Which model and reseller can offer me this? Can you guys help me?

Need to replace 485M in P150HM

Hi All - Ive had great serviec out of my clevo P150HM over the past four years but the graphics card has finally given up the ghost.....dodgy screen glitches went by and finally nothing. It boots in safe mode but nothing else.

So I decided, if possible, to "simply" replace the old card with another 485M.

I couldnt find a simple walk through on here so if anyone has such steps that would be ace. Other than finding a replacement and sticking it the correct slots is there anything else I...

Display Problem (NP7330 / W230ST)

I've got an older Sager NP7330 / Clevo W230ST with a 13" FHD 1920x1080 display.

Recently, the left half of the display quit working properly. It's exacly half the display too. It's a little fuzzy, and there is a bit of a refresh problem. There are ghosted bits of previous displayed stuff showing up. Here are some pictures of it:

GTX 980 SLI P870DM-G

Hey I was curious if it's possible to do an SLI setup with the desktop version of the GTX 980. The only options I see when building the laptop are the Desktop GTX 980 and GTX 980M SLI. Any input is appreciated. I do realize none of the resellers have that option but is it possible to do after purchase?

I think fitment and power would be the biggest issues if trying this but I am not certain about the space in the P870.

So I bought this expensive 6K desktop replacement and ditched other options because it had socketed components so I can upgrade it and it would be a long term investment. But 1 GPU upgrade and we're locked out of getting it is very disappointing to me.

I know there is no guarantee to upgrades but IMO should not be the case on a laptop that was the flagship just a few months...

Anyone else disappointed?

How to fix a grinding CPU/GPU fan

Hi, as an owner of a Sager laptop I want to make this thread for future users in need of a solution for their grinding/scraping fan.

Open up your back case and fan cover and remove the fan. On the underside of the fan, there should be a black ring in the center (the area that makes contact with the fan motor). Push that black ring in as far as you can with your thumbs. Now you can reinstall the fan and it should work fine now. To be extra safe you could put some super glue under the ring so...

Sager NP7338 / Clevo W230SS and Windows 10 drivers

I have a Sager NP7338 with Windows 7 Pro. I am thinking of installing Windows 10 on there (shudder) to try and get comfortable with the O/S before I upgrade my desktop to Kaby Lake and likely be forced to use W10. Problem is, when I go to SagerNotebook.com, there are no W10 drivers for the NP7338 - Windows 8.1 is the best they have to offer. Same if I go to Clevo.com ...any suggestions?

Alternatively, I just sell it and buy a new laptop with W10 pre-installed.
