Pending some driver uploads when I receive my new system to get them off the drivers disc

Unfortunately, the CLEVO servers suck big time, you'd be lucky if you were able to complete a download and even if you did, you may or may not be able to successfully extract the zip file.

Example of how long a single download takes on my 100 MBPS connection:...

Troubleshooting help for my Sager NP8651

I bought the Sager NP8651 in June 2015, and have loved it until now. About 6 weeks ago, it started giving the "beeping" sound often associated with overheating, and would auto-shut down after ~30 seconds. It would only do it when I was playing video games. I bought a new cooling pad, and while it would still ocasionally beep and shut down, it did it far less frequently. I thought the problem was "solved."

Then this morning it beeped and shut down (like before). Only this time, it's...

After asking a bunch of questions here on this forum I've gotten most things set up so I'm mostly satisfied with this laptop. However there is one thing, the CPU cooling does seem pretty poor to say the least.

Even after undervolting the CPU (6700k) by -170mV (which I've been told is too much) and putting something under the laptop to increase airflow it can still reach 80c+ (no overclock) if all cores are used 100% for a while. I mean it's probably fine, but it doesn't leave much room for...

Is the P775DM3 cooling just bad or what?

Hi, i was wondering if any of you lovely 8153-s owner could help me out in deciding if this laptop is for me.

i had a nice 4k screen on my desktop i got from acer refurbished, and it ended up having a mother board problem so i had to send it back. Acer refunded me as they had no more. im looking into moving into a laptop as i dont really like being stuck at my desk.


im looking to use excel/access for school work, at time taking the laptop to school for class.
im looking to game at 4k....

I'm currently in the process of buying a Clevo laptop {Thread here, in case you're wondering}. At the moment, I'm considering either HIDEvolution (US-based but I've heard and read A LOT of good things about them), and PCSpecialist (who are apparently the cheapest Clevo re-seller in the UK and one of the cheapest in the EU. Please correct me...

Hello
My clevo went wierd

Fans spinning
Keyboard lights are on

But nothing more happens

I took away both hdds, cmos battery
tested ram
2 minutes hold the ON button
Switched gpu cards [680 sli]
new cooling past on cpu and gpus

I dont see bios whem I start the clevo?
Dvd spinns when i insert a dvd
Hdd spins

Im all stuck, dont know what to do

... Push " Fn + F4" = Sleep mode (Screen OFF). Push again " Fn + F4 " - screen not swith ON.
I cannot switch ON the screen ! Long pushing Power" - full OFF and start laptop again

Is it possible to put CCFL LCD inside a Clevo P150?

So here John is again with his silly questions, can you put CCFL inside a Clevo P150?
Now before some of you gets the dagger and goes on a hunt for me, there is a valid reason why I ask such a silly question, and it has to do with blue lights, we all know CCFL emits very little bluelight compared to LED.

And I do have some issues with sitting too long with my eyes glued to my Clevo and it is affecting my sleep, I have no such issue with my Plasma TV and have never had such issues with my...

Is it possible to put CCFL LCD inside a Clevo P150?

The more I dig through the forum, the more I uncover not-so-pleasant stories. I mean, there's even a sticky thread talking about the fan speed cannot be manually adjust (among other problems), and a user experience thread about the fan not slowing down even when it's no longer under heavy load.

If I have to spend more hours (and possibly $) fixing QoL issues on a two grands, brand new laptop, I'd rather opt for a cheaper brand now and wait until Clevo gets things straight in their next...

Should I still go ahead and get Clevo?

120hz screen for np9377sm-a

Hi All, need some info on the 120hz screen and connectors for the np9377sm-a. Will the parts from a p370em be straight swaps to the np9377sm-a if it has a 120hz screen?
Reasom for asking is that no where sells all the parts needed and I thought if I could get a nice price for an old p370em chassis I could just swap them into my np9377sm-a.
Any info would be much appreciated, thx.

Hello everyone,

I'm considering a P77XDM with a 6700k and still not decided on a GPU model.

980m is becoming quite weak, and will not run newest titles on ultra in about a year, so, if I want maximum performance for a bit longer, a 980 desktop or 980m sli is the way to go.
But I also consider an eGPU setup in the future with a Pascal desktop card, this way I'd be happy with a 980m or even a 970m.

What are limitations to do this? Is it PCI-E speed or something else? I don't really...

Grey Color Flicker only in HDMI Out but not DVI Out?

Hi, does anyone have this issue where when the HDMI out of the Clevo will cause the monitor (currently using 60Hz, had tried changing to 50) to make certain shades of grey (no, pun unintended. Seriously! :D ) flicker whereas the DVI out does not?

This is so as my NP8170 with GTX 560M does that, only thing is that the DVI out is connected to a VGA cable using the supplied adapter then to the VGA in of the monitor.

I have tested the monitor with two other computers and confirmed no issue...

Hey everyone,

So here's the question in regards to my next laptop lol, i went ahead with my purchase of a EVOC P870DM3 17.3
From HIDevolution thats going to replace my 6 year old AW M17x R3.

Top of the line everything in regards to spec except for the screen.

Will i regret the screen size i chose over the next couple years?

Just like the AW i plan on taking extra good care of the Evoc and will use it for as long as i can.

EVOC P650RP6 G-Sync Issue

Basically, updated my Nvidia drivers, lost G-Sync, rolled back drivers, still cannot get G-Sync and machine crashes when playing games randomly, although it is running decent. Tried that G-SYNC Pendulum Demo from Nvidia and cannot toggle G-sync. Something is wrong, and I cannot figure it out. HID Evolutions tech support has been no help whatsoever with this issue, and even with a clean driver install, doesn't make sense why it's missing. I will say my monitor driver is a generic PnP but I do...

980m upgrade 770dm

As the title says, Is it possible for a 770dm to upgrade to a 1070? This video shows a 980m being upgraded to a 1070 of what i believe is a gt72 barebones.

If so where could i possible get a 1070 for my machine? aside from rjtech and woodstackz(hit him up but still no reply). Also will the 240w psu be enough?

Really need an upgrade path so its either a 1070 for this machine, a egpu box(assuming the housings are cheap e.g. razer core) or selling this...
