Since ive already been asked multiple times by various forum members, I thought I might as well just make a thread for this :)

Background-story: As many of you know, the AMD 7970M doesnt run out of the box in Clevo HM series laptops, since the GPU has an in-built IGP check in its vBIOS. Consequently, the screen stays black with the stock vBIOS, since the Sandy Bridge IGP units are disabled in HM laptops. As a work-around, its possible to blind-flash a modded vBIOS onto the card,...

P670SE battery connector issue

Hello everybody!
I'm a little bit worried about the battery connector in my P670SE: when I open the machine to reset bios/nvram by unplugging the round battery under the keyboard, I usually disconnect the main battery too, and leave everything there for a few minutes. But when I reconnect the main battery, there's a little sparkle coming out within the white connector. Is this somehow normal? Could it damage the machine?
Also, when my battery is charging Windows 10 tells me how much time is...

IT HAS BEEN 1 AND HALF YEARS SINCE I BOUGHT MY SAGER NP8651 FROM XOTICPC.COM.I TRIED TO REMOVE THE DUST BY BLOWING DRY AIR THROUGH VENTS USING VACCUM CLEANER ,THE DUST CAME OUT FROM THE FAN INLETS,BUT AFTER I SWITCHED ON THE POWER LOGIN SCREEN CAMR AND THE NOTEBOOK STARTED BEEPING ON REGULAR INTERVALS WITH CAPS AND NUMS LOCK GLOWING AT THE SAME TIME AND IT GOT SWITCHED OFF.EVERY TIME I TRIED TO SWITCH ON THE SAME THING HAPPENS PLEASE HELP ME! Hi all, I just got my hands on a Clevo P650RE and did a clean install of Windows 7 complete with fresh drivers. So far there are a few odd behaviors I noticed with it... First off, when I shut down the laptop, every once in a while the laptop will seem to have shut down except for the power button light staying on and the hard drive indicator light coming on. When I power it back on it seems to go through the normal boot so I'm not sure what it means...

I'm new to this group and I have a problem with the Windows 10 hotkey app when I install it and restart my system it freezes my touchpad and my keyboard also synaptic mouse drivers do the same thing pls is there a way to fix this please i own a Sager P157SM Gaming laptop.

Hi guys, lately I've had an issue with intermittent power getting to the laptop, after replacing the power supply cable, I've come to the conclusion that it must be the port.

However, in the service manual, it's like it stops half way on instructions on how to remove the motherboard.

Anyway, since there is no guide on that, I will have to figure it out myself. What I wanted to know is what power connector to buy. I found a site with a list of them for clevo models, but can't determine...

***Update 11/1/2015 - It seems like its mostly EVGA Precision X causing the problem. If you are using Precision X, grab nVidia Inspector and use it instead - http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html - Inspector has been long respected and I have not heard of any bricking thus far... Still proceed with caution with Windows 10 but @Mr. Fox and a number of others have reported that its a combination of Precision X and new drivers causing...

Which display should I get for my Sager np8657?

I have been torn between the normal 1080 display and the IPS 1080 display w/ G-sync.

I had heard that NVidia's Optimus software didn't work with G-sync displays. So, I am stuck between having better visuals with the IPS, or have a better battery life with the normal display and NVidia's optimus software.

There is also the backlight bleed lottery. Which one would have less chance to have bleed?

Finally, is the normal display a TN display? All the Sager page mentions is that it is FHD.

Red light from jack and no sound

I just got my new sager laptop yesterday and it worked perfectly. This morning, I turn it on and there's a red light coming from one of the audio jacks and absolutely no sound whatsoever. I have experienced this same issue on my macbook before but cannot recall how I fixed it.

Came home and tried to power my laptop was off and I had left it on.. It will not boot up. Lights flashing on system with nothing showing on the screen. I pulled the power and battery. Held down the power button for 1 minute then replaced battery and power and tried to bring it up. Same thing. Removed battery and power, pulled bottom RAM and retested. Same. Pulled keyboard, same result. Pulled hard drives, same thing. Removed all RAM and tried again. Same result.

No beep codes,...

So yesterday Vivian from HIDevolution sent me an email asking me how to get the RAM to work on this laptops since I keep on switching RAM every other week......

She said that when she installs the 2800 MHz. RAM, the system doesn't boot.

I told her to do an NVRAM reset, then try one module at a time, no luck, it only beets on the default DIMM Profile which is 2400 MHz. but if she tries XMP Profile 1/2, it won't boot. I then suggested her to try a manual overclock by choosing custom profile...

For the past few days now (maybe almost a week), I experienced at least a couple hang-ups a day in Windows while using my computer normally, not doing anything special.

Doesn't seem to be tied to any special program, doesn't seem to be overheating. Just, at any random point (once it did it even while being left idle), programs would become partially or totally unresponsive. Music in Windows Media Player would stop, although sometimes it would appear to still be in "play", with the timer...

What would you recommend for the wifi card?
Found a good sale for this laptop with a 970M 6 gig gpu, but without a cpu and wifi card.
For CPU I have found a i7-4800 MQ , but just thinking about a goo wificard (bluetooth also).
